Generation Z And Does Beer Have A Gender?

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Hello, and welcome

Unless you’ve been on the moon, you’ll have noticed that we have a brand spanking new insight report focussing on Generation Z which is released TODAY!

The report covers this hard-to-research generation’s thoughts, behaviours and plans for the future. If your business is affected by this group (18-24 year olds), it’s a MUST READ.

And below is just ONE SLIDE from this comprehensive programme, showing where Generation Z are spending their time…and therefore, their money.

If you want to know more, just reply to this email and I’ll send you details- at £695, it’s a bargain.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Do drinks have a gender? Well, it seems that beer certainly does. Dea Latis, a group of women brewers, maltsters, hop growers, publicans, beer sommeliers, writers, marketeers and beer drinkers have recently conducted some fascinating research into the category and have found out that, despite our booming brewing sector, only 9% of women would chose beer before any other drink- against 40% of men.

How can we, as an industry help to change this? Presented with a beer and wine order for a man and women, how many bar staff automatically serve the beer to the man and the wine to woman? If a women doesn’t know what to drink when she walks up to the bar, how many times is she offered a lovely new beer – or a sample to try- rarely in my experience! Are all beers served in ‘pints’ or could they be served in smaller, more stylish glassware? Or is this, in itself, an insult to women beer drinkers?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the topic.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”4643″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]After drinks with a friend tonight straight from work, I’ll be going down to Surrey to join friends and family at Weyfest, a small, Surrey-based festival for drinks and dancing.

Keep your comments and feedback coming!
