The resurgence of interest in gin has led to speculation as to which spirit will be next. Research that we ran back in the summer told us that Rum, followed by Tequila would be the next big thing, and insight from PubliKAM this week has told us that Publicans think the same.
A few weeks ago, we were out in Prague, preparing for a trade visit we are hosting at the weekend and we saw this dinky little pub that offers all it’s drinks as both takeaway and “drink in” options.
With micro breweries popping up all over the country, we wanted to understand whether pub customers would buy spirits to take away from their local pub. 33% of KAMunity members said that they would.
If the industry is looking for non-traditional income streams, I think this is a good place to start- thoughts?
A night in tonight, in preparation for a 5am start tomorrow (on a Saturday!?) for a flight to Prague, taking a group of clients on a trade tour of exciting, innovative venues across the country’s capital. Hopefully I’ll have some more pictures to share in next week’s KAMera email.
