If you follow me on Twitter (@katykammedia), you will know that I often send out a plea to readers of this blog to let me know what topics you would like me to cover. One question that has come up several times in the last few weeks has been about distance that customers are willing to travel to a pub or bar.
So, yep, you guessed it, we asked the members of KAMunity… And it seems that the vast majority- 73% of customers, won’t travel further than 6 miles- with 63% stating 4 miles is their limit. However, there was a hardcore of 13% who were happy to travel up to 20 miles- and when we broke that down to demographics, it seems that those visiting with a family seem to be more likely to travel further- my guess is that it’s because they tend to have a designated driver by default, and are often heading to a destination food venue.

Today’s blog post comes to you from Symi, a small island an hour away from Rhodes, where, following several raucous birthday celebrations over the Bank Holiday weekend, I am recuperating for 5 days with a friend in the sun. So this weekend will be spent shamelessly parked on a sunbed, reading a book and punctuated only by a meander down to a local restaurant for a cold glass of wine and some seafood fresh off the boat. Sorry.
