KAMera- An eye on the Ontrade 139

This week I (and my hangover) went to Five Guys. Yes, I am well aware of the fact that I am WAY behind the times here, but the point I’m making here is that I LOVED the degree of personalisation that was available at this popular QSR.

Not only can you personalise your burger toppings and accompaniments, but their self-serve drinks machine delivers up to 125 drinks combinations including Raspberry Coke, Vanilla Sprite and more.

Our research (other research agencies are available, they’re just not as good) shows that Millennials are more engaged with personalisation than any other generation- The “I want what I want and when I want it” generation.

But how can pubs/bars emulate this? Choice is everything- in the same way coffee shops offer syrups and sprinklings, pubs and bars need to offer customisation opportunities.

We asked the members of KAMunity whether they would like more opportunities to ‘personalise’ their purchases in pubs/bars. Overwhelmingly, 70% said that they would, with 34% telling us that, specifically, they would go to their local more if the opportunity to personalise soft drinks was readily available.

Tonight is stay at home and watch a movie night (any Netflix recommendations??) as tomorrow we are getting together with friends an hour or so North of London for Christmas dinner and drinks. Then on Sunday I am spending the day with my (youngest) Brother. He’s 7 years old (I know, it’s an interesting family, shall we say!) and the cutest kid; he has me wrapped around his little finger! I’ll be taking him into town to a museum and then undoubtedly spending a fortune in Hamley’s afterwards.
